Sunstein’s Michele Liu Baillie Elected to Chair The Boston Club Board of Directors

Boston, MA (July 9, 2024) - Sunstein LLP is pleased to announce that firm Of Counsel Michele Liu Baillie was elected chair of The Boston Club Board of Directors.

“I am honored to take on the role of chair for The Boston Club,” Liu Baillie said. “Our new Board is comprised of a dynamic and diverse group of leaders who are passionate about advancing our mission. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the outgoing Board members, whose dedication and leadership have significantly contributed to the organization's success.”

Liu Baillie and her fellow Board members will lead The Boston Club in its mission of driving demonstrable impact advancing all women to tables that matter in corporate and community life.

The Boston Club is a professional community of about 400 members who represent New England’s business, innovation, and nonprofit sectors. It is the largest membership organization for diverse women leaders in the region and thus considered to be a vital voice and resource throughout Greater Boston and beyond. The organization draws on the resources and expertise of its members to provide networking, professional growth, and knowledge-sharing offerings such as mentoring, member-initiated interest groups, corporate and nonprofit board education and placement services, and more.

Liu Baillie, who previously served as The Boston Club Board of Directors secretary, practices on Sunstein’s Patent team. For more than 25 years, she has worked closely with many Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies, startups, and individual inventors in the United States and abroad, including Silicon Valley and New England. ​She specializes in the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patents, patentability analyses, product clearances, and trademark prosecution.

Liu Baillie has held many leadership positions throughout her career and is actively involved in the community. For nine years, she served on the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts (WBA) Board of Directors, including as the WBA’s president from 2017-2018. She is also a member of the Boston Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts.
