Sunstein LLP is delighted to announce that Kati Ferrante, Director of Marketing & Business Development, has received the 2023 “Excellence in the Law” award by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and is the sole honoree in the “Excellence in Marketing” category.
The annual awards program was established to celebrate attorneys, firm administrators and legal support staff who regularly go above and beyond the call of duty, not just professionally, but also in their daily lives. Honorees will be formally recognized at an awards event on May 16.
“Kati’s enthusiasm for what she does shines bright, and this excitement rubs off on those around her. She is a joy to work with, and Sunstein is lucky to have her on our team,” said Sunstein Litigation Practice Group Chair Lisa M. Tittemore.
Since joining Sunstein, Kati has worked diligently to seek new opportunities to elevate her colleagues and the legal industry as a whole. She is a cheerleader for her colleagues in and outside of Sunstein, and loves being a resource for connecting people. She has helped facilitate many firm and individual attorney recognitions, including awards and top-tier industry rankings.
“Kati has made a significant and important impact on our firm and the way we think about business development and marketing. I work with Kati regularly to discuss strategy, business development initiatives and client needs. She is a rock star at understanding our clients’ businesses and is constantly pushing to add value to every client interaction,” said Sunstein Trademark Practice Group Chair Steven A. Abreu.
Both within and outside of the legal industry, Kati is known and respected for her enthusiasm, creative thinking and genuine passion for contributing to the success of those around her. Since launching her career in legal marketing over 20 years ago, she has continuously worked to give her all to every endeavor and relationship.
“As a legal marketer, my priority is not to be in the limelight but rather to work behind the scenes to ensure that the world knows about the incredible victories and talents of the people that I work with,” she said. “I am truly honored to be recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful network of friends and colleagues.”
Outside of the office, Kati serves as an advisor to PeerPro Health, an organization that improves the well-being of professionals by providing confidential peer recovery coaching to those struggling with substance use disorder. She is also Legal Lean Sigma Certified as a Yellow Belt.
Kati is a dedicated Girls Inc. volunteer, supporting the mission of the organization to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, and to pursue higher education in STEM. This mission strikes a personal chord with Kati, who is raising three strong, smart, and bold girls of her own, Dori (6), Pepper (2), and step-daughter Taylor (14).
