The invitation-only Longwood Healthcare event, which is centered on MIT’s Koch Institute, features leading biopharma CEOs, heads of R&D, top academic researchers, and healthcare investors, and is co-hosted by Nobel laureate and Biogen/Alnylam co-founder Phil Sharp.

In addition to Sunstein, the panel discussion on External Innovation will feature Jay Kim, CEO, K2B Therapeutics, Sophie Kornowski, Senior Partner, Gurnet Point Capital, Ronenn Roubenoff, Global Head, Translational Medicine Discovery and Profiling, Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, and Heather Schwoebel, COO & CBO, Alloy Therapeutics.

Market leaders and start-ups in diverse industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals bioinformatics, computer hardware and software, electronic circuits and systems, communications and speech, and mechanical devices, turn to Bruce Sunstein for his expertise as a patent and IP strategist.

Bruce’s strategic approach to intellectual property has enabled a wide range of enterprises to achieve dominant patent positions in their markets. Patents issuing on applications which he has handled have been enforced for 8- and 9-figure infringement recoveries.

Over multiple years Bruce has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Intellectual Property Litigation and Patent Law and has been named to the Super Lawyers® list in the practice area of intellectual property in Massachusetts. He was also named to the 2021 IAM Patent 1000 list for patent prosecution -- considered the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking to identify world-class, private practice patent expertise and leading expert witnesses in the US.

Sunstein is proud to sponsor the Longwood Healthcare Leaders meeting which brings together leading biotech and pharma CEOs, heads of R&D, top academics, and healthcare investors for off-the-record discussions to drive transparency and collaboration in order to accelerate the translation of discoveries into medicines to help patients. Donations enabled by these meetings benefit several charities.
